Hurricane Helene Relief Support

Hurricane Helene came ashore as a Category 4 Major Hurricane at the end of September, and the devastation left behind will require months of recovery efforts. We know that everyone is eager to respond and assist with the ongoing disaster response efforts needed in the western part of our state.

As recovery continues to evolve, the Saint Paul Missions Team is working with the North Carolina GMC conference to donate large tarps/plastic sheeting to support the disaster response. Each large, heavy-duty tarp costs approximately $40 and we would like to supply as many tarps as possible. To help support this effort, you can:

  • Give financially online to the Saint Paul Hurricane Helene Disaster Relief fund at: https://www.stpaulgoldsboro.org/give/
  • Text the word “helene” to 919-899-2777 to give by text
  • Mail or drop off a check to the church office–please mark that it is for disaster relief

You can also support local relief efforts by dropping off donated items to the United Way of Wayne County Operation Airdrop, which continues to take supplies at the Wayne County Jetport.

We will continue to support disaster relief opportunities as the post-hurricane needs emerge.
